Location, Location, Location

Developed roadway networks, geographical proximity to major urban centers, and the presence of a fast growing port terminal notedas main factors behind the selection of Zárateas the home for Velociudad Speedcity Circuit.

Zárate is located 80 km north of downtown Buenos Aires. Built on the banks of the Parana River, the city has a population of 130,000 inhabitants. Back in 2010, the area was envisioned by the Velociudad developers as a prime location for a world class, multifunctional motorsport complex.

When it comes to attending social gatherings or sporting events, location and ease of access are critical in determining the guest experience.Route 9, the modern-multilane national freeway joining Buenos Aires and Rosario, was of upmost importance in choosing the location of the current development. This roadway ensures a smooth arrival not only for the Buenos Aires crowd, but also the thousands of motorsport enthusiasts living in Argentina´s countryside.

Moreover, proximity to Argentina´s three major urban centers also played a major role in selecting the area. Zárate stands at the center ofgeographical triangle consisting of Buenos Aires, Rosario and Cordoba. Undoubtedly Velociudad promises service and adrenaline for the Argentine fanatics at large.

Another reasonfor selecting the property was the nearby location of the Port of Zárate. Strategically located at the heart of the Buenos Aires industrial belt with railway, road, and river connections, the Port represents a fundamental link in the chain of foreign trade in Argentina. Being located a few kilometers away from the port terminal simplifies the transportation logistics for international series(which travel via maritime vessels), thereby making of Velociudad an ideal South American racing destination.

Upon his arrival to Argentina, Velociudad founder Eddie Freedmandiscovered that the port was already intrinsically linked with cars. As it turns out, the Zárate terminal is a major import-export hub serving the numerous automotive plants along Route 9. In developing Velociudad, Freedman saw the opportunity to serve the needs of the growing sector. "The manufacturers in the area need a proper facility to conduct R&D, launch new models, and take clients for test drives". Located within a ninety minute driving radius of five major production plants, Velociudad fits the needs of the local auto industry.

Reasons abound. Only time is missing for the chosen argentine location to be observed by the eyes of the world.
